I was recently awarded The Frances Marie Morrow Endowed Art Scholarship at Cabrillo College. These are 4 of the five pieces i submitted. The other piece is currently on display at the Cabrillo Gallery.

I meant to post these pictures months ago. All of these “paintings” i consider to be more sketches than final pieces of work. Most of them are plein air, and done very quickly. The instructor for the class motivated us to be more impressionistic and abstract rather than to be controlled and realistic. The three pieces that look somewhat psychedelic are turkish marbeling and or mixed media. The process in creating those is a little complicated to explain but I’m sure you can google it to find out more.
